Novacika Synthetic Epidermis stabilizes the wound, avoids the appearance of exuberant granulation tissue. (Prospective randomized study conducted by VetAgro Sup). Observation shows that moderate hypergranulation regresses spontaneously with Novacika Synthetic Epidermis.
2. SIMPLE: No need to sedate the animal thanks to atraumatic application
The spray application is fast and painless.
3. ECONOMICAL: global care in 2 or 3 visits
The 1st visit involves cleaning, debriding the wound and covering it with an absorbent dressing for 2 to 3 days. Once inflammation and exudate are reduced, dry the wound well and apply Novacika Synthetic Epidermis in 2 successive layers.

1. SIMPLE: no more need to change the dressing
Novacika Synthetic Epidermis anchors into the extreme surface of the granulation tissue. It protects the wound from bacteria and stops the flow of exudates.
2. NO IMMOBILIZATION: return to pasture in 24 to 48 hours
Novacika Synthetic Epidermis dries in 24 to 48 hours. Once dry, the protection of the wound is ensured, the horse can return to the pasture.
3. ECONOMICAL: 2 applications of Novacika on average
Clinical cases from the HOW study including more than 50 wounds showed an average of 2 applications to close a wound. Mobile zones (fetlock, carpus) can lead to a fracture of the polymer which requires a reapplication on the fracture line.

FAQ
The wound is inflammatory and exudative. Can I use Novacika?
It is preferable to wait a few days for the inflammation and exudate to decrease before applying Novacika Synthetic Epidermis.
Noble organs (bone, tendon, ligament) are apparent. Should I wait before applying Novacika?
Novacika Synthetic Epidermis must be applied on granulation tissue to anchor durably. It is therefore necessary to wait for a thin layer of granulation tissue covering the bones or tendons before applying it.
Novacika turned whitish upon application. What should I do?
This is a sign that too much exudate mixed with the product during application. Since the probability of it falling off is higher, the wound should be monitored daily to ensure the product is still in place.
Novacika is fractured, exudates reappear. Is this normal?
In areas subject to tension, Novacika Synthetic Epidermis may fracture. The area should be dried before reapplying 2 successive layers of the product on the fracture line.
